In California, a remarkable story has unfolded about a donkey named Diesel who has been living as the alpha-male in a pack of stags.
This incredible tale began five years ago when Diesel, a beloved pet of Terri Drewry, ran away after being startled by a mountain lion while on a hike with his owner.
Months later, a trail camera captured a glimpse of Diesel, but he was nowhere to be found. Despite a thorough search by Terri and her husband Dave, they eventually gave up hope of ever finding their beloved pet.

However, this year, while on a hunting trip in Auburn, California, athlete Max Fennell stumbled upon something extraordinary: a donkey living amongst a herd of elk.
Fennell was amazed by the sight and captured a video of Diesel standing in the middle of the herd, with both the donkey and elk looking directly at him.
This incredible sighting has left many wondering how Diesel, a domesticated donkey, managed to adapt and thrive in the wild, eventually becoming the alpha-male in a pack of stags.
